Where fine dining is guided by place and flavour

Borders blur here between Italy, Croatia and Slovenia, as flavours follow the path once traced by the Parenzana railway. Each dish is a conversation between cultures – rooted in honesty, balance and an uncompromising respect for quality. Created under the culinary direction of Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra, the chefs behind the two Michelin-starred Harry’s Piccolo in Trieste, this new outpost brings their distinctive vision to Istria. In Poreč, head chef Goran Hrastovčak leads the kitchen, carrying that philosophy forward. Intent defines every detail; every plate is a composed expression of taste and place.

About Harry's Piccolo Poreč

The Parenzana railway

Winding for 123 km across Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, the Parenzana traces the route of a historic narrow-gauge railway that once linked Trieste to Poreč. In operation from 1902 to 1935, it was a lifeline for transporting wine, olive oil and local harvests. Today, the old tracks have given way to a scenic haven for cyclists and hikers, offering an adventure through rolling hills, storybook villages and Istria’s magical landscapes.

“We want this region to be recognised on the European and global stage. To us, there are no borders. Visitors to Trieste naturally find their way to Istria.”
